I received an email from Mattie of MATTIEOLOGIE.com called “Do, Don’t Try.” She started this email describing one way she likes to use her journal. Well, you know I am looking for 100 ways to enhance our journal experience. So, when I saw this suggestion I had to put it on the list as #4. I don’t write what I’m grateful for often. But I figure it has to be beneficial. Mattie says it helps with productivity.

As I was journaling this morning, I listed out three things I’m grateful for per usual to encourage a positive outreach on my day. (It does wonders for your productivity.)

Here are 3 things I am grateful for today…

My God-Daughter / Cousin

This little girl is the sweetest thing in the world. The other night, just before I went to bed I noticed my mother left a voicemail. I checked it. Instead, I heard a gentle, emotional, little girl telling me how much she loved me. I saved the message. And I listened to it a few times. It brought tears to my eyes when I thought of how pure her love is for me.  I am so grateful to have this sweet, little prayer warrior always thinking about me. I love you, Mimi.

 My Husband

I was driving home from work, talking to my mom. While on the phone my husband called to tell me he cleaned the chicken. He was checking in on me before going to sleep, ( he had to work later that night.)  When I got back on the phone with my mom, I told her the reason for the interruption. She responded you have a good husband. I thought about it and said, “Yes I do, and I am grateful.” Thank you IK for being an awesome husband.

The Weather Warming Up

I know, we didn’t have a bad winter in New York this year. But it seems like winter thought that gave it permission to hang out with us into the spring. Um no. I am so happy the last few days have been comfortable. I finally put on my spring clothes.
